The design question
Analytics interfaces can overwhelm users when every chart appears equally important. This concept explores a dashboard hierarchy that separates overview information, detailed inspection and navigation. The visualised product and data are demonstrations, not a live analytics platform or evidence about a real organisation.
Why this direction
The proposed structure gives each module a clear purpose and keeps filtering controls close to the information they affect. A production interface should show units, time periods, loading states and empty states consistently. Colour alone should not be the only way to distinguish an increase, warning or selected item.
How we would validate it
We would test whether someone can identify the active date range, compare two periods and recover from an empty result. Chart labels and tabular alternatives would need accessibility review. Real data integrations would also require decisions about authentication, permissions, freshness, privacy and error handling.
Scope and limitations
This study communicates interface decisions and potential validation tasks. It does not claim that a working product was delivered or that decision speed improved. A real project would confirm user roles and data definitions before testing the assumptions with representative users.
